Picketpost Mountain

There’s not much to write about this peak, but it is quite pleasurable and I encourage it. The trailhead is very easy to access, and includes some dispersed camping in the vicinity. The trailhead even has a bathroom! The hike itself is a relatively quick 5-6 miles. I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for camping near Phoenix and a fun view.

This peak requires some easy class 3 in spurts if you take the easiest route. There are a lot of cairns, well-trodden paths and even some (fading) spray-painted arrows. I opted for a few low-5th direct moves for fun.
